In years past, Atlanta grooms were responsible for the brides wedding rings, the planning of the honeymoon, fittings for the tuxedos, choosing a best man, and out of town lodging accommodations for the attendants. The bride’s mother planned the wedding and the bride with all her loveliness walked down the aisle to the music of “Here Comes The Bride.”

Things are a changing! With disharmony among the families, mothers having their own ideas, no one listening, but rather controlling, and add the ever-growing cost of weddings, this formula spells out disaster. The wedding consultant’s responsibility is to bridge the two families together in total harmony plus create the wedding of the couple’s dreams. To assure wedding bliss for the newlyweds, the judicious wedding consultant recruits the groom to serve as liaison and negotiator. This method assures the newlyweds are on the right path of marriage. Atlanta grooms no longer sit on the sidelines, but are actively pursued by the wedding consultant as to his wishes and desires for the ceremony and reception. By doing this, the two families become one and the Perfect Wedding is created.

Never underestimate Atlanta grooms’ creativity, they too have been planning their wedding in their minds. As a wedding consultant for years, I have always asked the groom, “How do you see your wedding?” This silent individual now becomes alive. He knows what he wants and he loves expressing his ideas. With every word the groom describes exactly how the ceremony and reception should be. Maybe, he has not only attended weddings, but he has participated as a best man or a groomsmen. He has been the witness of poorly planned ceremonies and receptions. During his enthusiastic verbal display, the mother and bride always look at me and say, “He never talks!” They are simply in shock that the groom is so creative and knowledgeable on weddings.

To the beautiful bride, the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom: If you want a fun, romantic, enchanting wedding, filled with lasting memories, take heart because “Here Comes the Atlanta Grooms.”
