I just found this amazing photographer in a little town called Monroe, but she travels all over Ga. He prices are amazing. I looked at about 6 other photographers before her and most wanted about $1200-$1500 for her $700 package. I went with the $1100 package and I'm getting my whole wedding covered by 2 photographers, an album, proof book, all sorts of stuff. Plus she includes a cd of all edited images and gives you the release to print yourself. Most won't even do that and the ones who do charge a lot. I was just so amazed I had to share. And I am guessing (because I took some really great law classes) that if the money was really hers to get; by law she would be entitled to it..But we all know weddings are a memory of a life time and we all want to be beautiful on our day. I really hope the bride got a wonderful dress and was OK I wish her all the luck. Yet my experience with Brides of Atlanta was completely different!! The entire staff was so compassionate, professional and best of all so down to earth. They never pressured me in to anything and best of all they were very honest. They told me what accentuated my figure and what made me look a little too over the top- everything you really want someone to tell you -rather than the regular sales person oh that looks great. The reason I felt I had to respond on a positive note was because I never felt pressured going to brides of Atlanta, I am originally from NYC but the prices, selection and customer service sold me! (this is how i know read what you sign-all stores have their own policy) I was in the store 4 different times trying on dresses and my lasting, most important impression was when two sales women Petra and Mandy (i believe that is how you spell it)helped me pick out the dress of my dreams, talked with me about there wedding day and dreams of their children's wedding day that ALL THREE of us (i in my dress) had tears running down our faces. It was the best moment with friends I could have imagined as I started on my path to being Mrs.Walker ...Brides to be- it is your day, find the perfect dress and create your own experience and memories!

Free Bridal Event this wknd

FYI fellow Brides to Be

I just wanted to pass along some info about a free Bridal event at the Dillard's at Stonecrest Mall in Lithonia from 1-4 PM this Sunday, Nov. 4th! How unprofessional it was to cancel an event and not inform your patrons. Several people went to the Sheraton this Sunday (Aug 26th) only to find out the Bridal Show was cancel. None of the vendors showed which meant they knew. To top matters no one from the event was there to represent and inform people of why the event was cancelled. Please don't stress and just remember that this is your day whether it be a small intimate wedding or a large wedding. Just choose your theme, pick a budget, and start to use your planner and this site. I got engaged in October 2006 and was married July 7, 2007. I utilized this site to the fullest - it was free information. I even made some friends along the way. I chose a budget of $5,000 (and that budget included my wedding for 50 guests, a reception, my gown, accessories, my daughter's flower girl dress with all accessories, flowers, decorations, food, the reception hall rental, honeymoon (hotel and airfare), my wedding cake, groom's cake, stamps, invitations, you name it and I included it in my budget). I did it. I managed to stay within my budget but I went over by around $300 because I started tipping people along the way because I was so blessed. It can be done. I got married at the CHARMING CHAPEL in Lilburn. See my previous posts for my blog on that. I honeymooned in Miami, Florida for 3 days. I got my dress from David's Bridal. I got all of my accessories from Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Dollar Store, Target, yard sales (you name it). I got my wedding cake from Publix - and it was delicious. (Everybody talked about how good it was). I used silk flowers. (and they were pretty). I printed my own invitations, response cards, direction cards, programs, - I did it all (Wal-Mart and www.wiltonprint.com). The chapel came with everything (the video (which we watch all the time), the photographer, all of that was included. I got my shoes from a boutique as did my tiara and veil. I did my homework and I used the bridal books (don't even buy them - go to the library - you can look at them for free). I used Greene Classic Limousine as my limo provider. I booked a hotel room before my wedding to be close to the Chapel because I lived in Lithonia and it was in Lilburn. I did my own favors (www.orientaltrading.com). CHEAP-CHEAP. I even made my own wedding planner book and I followed it to the tee. I jotted down every penny that I spent. In the end, I did not got over badly - I did tip too generously but it was out of love and happiness because I pulled it off. So rest assure that you can do it. My wedding was beautiful. I received my professional wedding album and my husband and I are so pleased with the pictures. I've been married for 26 days and not in debt over my wedding. My husband and I have watched our video about 5 times now and we both are so happy at how things turned out. I ended up getting every penny I spent back in gifts and money gifts at my wedding. So in actuality - my wedding was a gift to us!! All of my planning was worth every bit of stress I encountered (which was minimal). I was not a BRIDEZILLA - I loved every minute of my wedding day and my honeymoon was magnificient. I'm a WIFE NOW and loving it. CONGRATULATIONS AND STAY FOCUSED. You don't have to go broke to have a wedding. Your dreams are that - YOUR DREAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
