I used an inkjet printer to do my invitations, reponse and direction cards. I printed the cards a couple of days before stuffing envelops, so I know the ink way dry. However, for some reason, some of the direction cards bled/smeared onto the RSVP card. I don't know if the humidity was high at the post office, it rained the day of the delivery, but I have to admit, I'm a bit embarassed that some of them smeared.

Here's how I packaged them....

If you have the flap of the large envelop facing you, I put the invitation so that the writing faces you. Behind the invitation, I placed the response card envelop with the response card under the flap (the print was facing the opposite way of the print on the invitation. (Print was facing the flap of the response envelop so the recepient would know what the card was). Then, I placed the direction card facing the response card. My thought was that it would be a nice neat package.

Now, I have to admit, I adjusted the direction of the card for my B List invitations and they came back much nicer. (Face the direction card print AWAY from the print on any other card). It may not be the proper way, but it will certainly be less embarrasing!
