I just don't want anyone to go through this for their wedding. A Wedding in Silk did not show up with flowers at the church. When she was called we had to go get them and then the brides bouquet had dead flowers in it and was nothing what was ordered. This was very disappointing. Be sure to your flower person has fresh flowers!!

Event design planners

Also has anyone used the following event planners? Edge Design Group, Andy Beach and Assoc., J.Patrick Designs, Event Design Group, and Flowers So Beautiful Event and Design... Sorry such a list of names, but I want to make sure that I do not get ripped off because I notice that these planners do not included their direct address on their websites; also some of them work from home so how do I know that they are credible so I do not get burned? Please advise as much as possible... thanks

flower suggestion

I am trying to think of something other than flowers for my bridesmaids to hold. A friend of mine did umbrellas for her wedding, but that won't work for mine. The theme for my wedding is fall/NFL and our wedding is on Halloween. Does anyone have a suggestion of what my girls could carry instead of flowers?

Desperate! Need help with outdoor lighting!!!

HELP! My best friend fell in love with and rented a beautiful venue for her October wedding. She wants it to be very candle lit and lovely. However, we went out there last night for the first time in the dark and it's pitch black out there!!! There aren't enough candles in the free world to light the way! No one will be able to see what they're eating. Drunken bridesmaids may kiss men, only to later find out they're not their dates, etc. We have very little electrical options. There is basically a bandstand in the middle of a field and it has 2 outlets on each side and one of them will be taken up by the DJ.

Here's the kicker girls....... her Mother went completely Mom-zilla on her last week and informed her that they will no longer be paying for ANYTHING, so we're limited on the budget and what we can afford to do to light this area. We're looking at about 200 sq ft and we don't want it to be bright, just light enough to see well.

I'm praying that maybe some of you other brides or Maids of Honor like myself have been through this or have some other fabulous ideas for me! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have a bride on my hands that's having a good old fashioned hissy fit right now!

Cute wedding supply site I found...

I came across this great website for wedding supplies, you know, favors, garters, wedding party gifts and all that. The prices are really low (I compared to a lot of other sites offering similar items that I was interested in). It looks like they keep adding more and more to the site because each time I've gone back there are a few more things that I didn't notice the last time. Real cute stuff. That's helped me keep straight the stuff I already know I like and get ideas from friends.
